Accessibility at STEWARD

STEWARD is committed to making our public site usable by everyone — including people with disabilities and older adults. We build accessibility directly into the site rather than relying on a bolt-on overlay, so that our pages work with the assistive technologies you already use.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We test with automated tooling and manual review, and we are continually improving.

What you can adjust

A Display & Accessibility panel — reachable from the Aa control in the header and the floating button in the bottom-right of every page — lets you increase text size and spacing, raise contrast, switch to a high-legibility font (Atkinson Hyperlegible) or a reading-ease font (Lexend), reduce motion, enlarge controls, zoom the page, and enable reading aids like a reading guide, reading mask, or read mode. These preferences ride on top of whichever STEWARD brand style you've chosen, and are remembered on your device.

How we build it, not bolt it on

• Semantic HTML, real form labels, and landmark structure.
• Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-main link.
• WCAG 2.2 minimum target sizes (24×24 CSS pixels) with 44×44 targets on primary actions.
• Curated, contrast-safe themes — no free-form color pickers that can break contrast.
• Respect for your operating system's reduced-motion and color-scheme preferences.
